As I recall 1 Corinthians 1:27 "...God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong" I'm reminded about ukulele.​

As small as it is, ukulele's a very useful instrument to worship the Lord. You can use it for your personal intimate time or for Praise & Worship session in the gathering.

 

If you've been strumming for CG and supporting Praise & Worship (PW) team, and you have some strong desire to do more than just that (though nothing wrong with just strumming), it's because your Heavenly Father's also an Artist - even in the beginning He introduced Himself as Artist (Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth) - you've got His "genes" (Ok, it's rhyme with Genesis - the book of the very beginning).

Nothing's wrong with functional playing, but after awhile your creative calling makes you spending time and energy into exploration, experimenting, studying, searching to do more artistically. It's the same as "design", why do you think your car's dashboard has a sleek curve design, or your shirt has those polkadots pattern, or perhaps horizontal line pattern?

James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

Fingerstyle ukulele is an art by itself. With this you could artistically enhance your playing in accompanying PW session or your personal time with the Lord. You also can apply this technique for solo instrumental playing...why not, right? Entertainment's good - Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart does good like a medicine" - it's spiritual to be content & happy.
